Iolite faceted rondelles have a vitreous luster, excellent cut and polish, symmetrical rondelle shapes, very well matched for tone on strand, the pleochroic gems have a violetish blue, grey and colorless hue depending on direction of view, and the transparent bodies have internal characteristics for a wonderfully rich strand of rondelles.
